The TN-500 CoC By-Name List
A By-Name List (BNL) is a real-time, up-to-date registry of all individuals experiencing homelessness in a community. It is a crucial tool for identifying, tracking, and managing services for those in need. The BNL helps ensure that every person is known by name and has access to the resources necessary to transition out of homelessness. To be added to the BNL, a person or household must complete a Universal Housing Assessment with a trained partner in our 11-county region. To remain on the BNL, a person or household must be confirmed to be experiencing homelessness at least one time every 90 days. In this way, the BNL provides a “real-time” look at homelessness data across Southeast Tennessee.
The dashboard below displays current data on the TN-500 BNL. By clicking on any of the buttons inside the visualization, you will be able to filter the report (by County, Recent Contact Location, or Household Type). At the bottom of the visualization, you can click to the next page, which breaks down the BNL even further by various demographics.
